Wow – what a journey we’ve been on in the last couple of years!
After opening the venue and very quickly being plunged into a global pandemic, our first year in business was a little different than we had imagined! It felt great when the world began to open up last year and we could finally see so many wonderful couples have their special day here at Elmbridge Farm. Our first full wedding season was incredible, and we are so excited for what’s to come in 2022. To begin the year by winning TWIA’s Highly Commended venue award really is the icing on the cake!
Elmbridge was put up for a TWIA Award in the category of Wedding Venue (other), and we were delighted to be selected as a Regional Finalist for the West Midlands. The awards are well-respected in our industry, and with so many brilliant wedding venues and suppliers in the area it is of course such an honour to be recognised in their company!
The awards are judged on a variety of different factors. Firstly, our most recent couples have a chance to have their say by voting for us as their favourite venue. However, it’s not simply having the most votes that wins you the awards. Our couples also get to leave comments which the judges will take into consideration, and the panel will look into our socials, our website, feedback we’ve received, as well as photos, videos and reviews. It’s a very thorough process, and a decision which isn’t taken lightly!
As finalists we were invited along to the ceremony at the spectacular Mount Hotel in Wolverhampton alongside the region’s very best wedding folks, and we so enjoyed sharing in all of their successes. There were a lot of great categories to get through, and a lot of very worthy winners!
When it came to the wedding venues, we were so thrilled to receive the award for ‘Highly Commended’. It’s an incredible accolade, particularly to be receiving after just one full wedding season. Of course we think Elmbridge is a very special place, so it’s so lovely to see it recognised as such by industry experts too. Obviously, we were delighted to head up on stage to receive our reward (which we can’t wait to see framed in the tipi)!
