When we first opened Elmbridge Farm as a wedding venue, we hoped others would be able to see the potential of the space and envisage some very exciting weddings happening here. When Tahlia and Matt came to look around there was little more here than a field and a fishing lake, but they instantly saw all the possibilities and knew they could create something really special. Thanks to Covid they had to wait a little longer for their day, but it was wonderful to see it finally come to life!
It began in our cottages, with bride and groom each getting ready with family & friends.
The sun was shining over the lake ready for their waterside ceremony, which was very sweet and incredibly emotional! What a perfect setting and such a glorious day for a couple who had been so patient and deserved it so well – they couldn’t have planned it any better!
The fabulous weather made for a perfect afternoon lakeside by the tipi with drinks, sweets, snacks and games. The Distractions Band provided entertainment for everyone throughout the day by playing out on the terrace, and Tahlia & Matt were able to get some beautiful photos in our grounds. What could be more perfect after all of that than a BBQ with bubbles and beer in the sunshine?!
As the evening progressed, guests retired back out to the lawn and the games became a little more competitive (!), with Tahlia and Matt fully throwing themselves into the spirit of things going head to head as Team Bride and Team Groom! But there was time for them to take a quiet moment at golden hour with Emily Little Photography, as she got some stunning sunset snaps of the couple too.
The Distractions brought everyone to the dancefloor as it got dark, and there were sparklers, firepits and blankets to keep everyone warm late into the night! The most beautiful way to end a truly special day, and for such a lovely family.
