Laura & Richard

Like so many of our lovely 2021 couples, Laura and Richard (and their daughter, Pippa) suffered the plight of Covid postponements. Their final chosen wedding date fell in the middle of July and we are delighted to say they pulled it off with minimal restrictions…and they nailed the sunshine too! Having gotten to know this couple for over two years by the time their wedding finally rolled around, we were particularly excited to see them take it all in and celebrate, as they so very much deserved.

The Bridal Prep:

Joyful chaos, at home.

The Ceremony:

Here at Elmbridge Farm on our lakeside ceremony patch. The groom and guests patiently waited for the Bride who was slightly tardy but well worth the wait! Laura looked absolutely gorgeous in a hint-of-blush gown and a bouquet of wild, colourful flowers. Pippa did an amazing job of getting down the aisle to Daddy, especially given she had quite literally been woken up in the car on arrival and thrust through a crowd of people to get to him. What a star! The ceremony was relaxed and heartfelt which echoed throughout their day.

The Reception:

Guests were led over the lake’s bridge to the tipi terrace for a Pimms and beers reception. The sun was shining, every single guest had a smile on their face and the tipi decoration looked amazing! Laura and Richard had chosen a bright, happy, colourful theme which felt apt for a wedding that had fallen so soon after the Covid restrictions had been heavily reduced. Dining tables were lined with simple jars of wild flowers. Delicious street style food was served by Ascotts Catering and Bellinis were flowing on the Elmbridge bar. Vibrant festival feels continued throughout the day and into the night with a glitter make-up artist dolling guests up, a cracking band, gorgeous sunset photos and drinks around the firepit.

Congratulations Laura, Richard and Pippa!

You finally did it!!
